National Park Service WEBRANGERS
www.webrangers.us/index.cfm
Junior rangers are important people. They help park rangers protect plants, animals, rocks, and historic sites. They pick up litter and put it in trash cans. Junior Rangers know that national parks are special places that need to be protected so they will be just as special in the future. Would you like to be a Junior Ranger at Alibates Flint Quarries National Monument and Lake Meredith National Recreation Area? Pick up a booklet at park headquarters and complete the activities in your age group. When you are finished take the booklet back to headquarters. A park ranger will check your answers and issue you a Junior Ranger badge. Now you can be a Ranger even if you are not able to visit a national park. Log on and you can become a member of a growing group of young people who are interested in the world around them and involved with their nation's heritage

Mainstay Farm
www.mainstayfarm.com/
Welcome to our farm We are the Jim and Marianna Wilson family. We moved here in 1989 because of a desire to live in the country. We named our place Mainstay Farm, and began growing Christmas trees six months after we moved here. We selected a scripture verse to be our theme: I Corinthians 15:58. Be ye steadfast and immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, ...knowing that your toil is not in vain. We found later that a mainstay is actually a bamboo stake used in the Christmas tree industry which holds a seedling up straight: it marks the seedling; it protects the seedling when storms come; it gives the seedling stability, disciplining it so it will become what it is intended to be. For our family, the Living Lord is the Mainstay. He is doing these same things for us. And this is how we live! We are glad you are here.
